A Cool Place: The National Weather Service predicts that the heat index will be 110 degrees today and tomorrow. So the deacons have organized a way to help our friends in need: The Calvary Baptist Church building will be open today from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. for those who need to get in out of the heat. Please enter the building at the Church Office entrance (2000 Broad Ave.) and go to Spurgeon Hall.

The HCS Senior Mission Team will give a report of their recent trip to England this Sunday night, 6 p.m.!

Tonight at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Derek Thomas from Slavic Baptist Missions will be speaking in our service. He will be sharing a very special opportunity that you will want to pray about.

From The Wilds Christian Camp and Conference Center: Our beloved “Doc,” Ken Hay, was ushered into the presence of his Savior this morning, April 2, 2019. The Founder of The Wilds now worships the Founder of the Universe and the Captain of his Salvation. "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." (2 Corinthians 5:8) Please keep Mrs. Hay, their daughters, and their families in your prayers. We will share the plans for the visitation and funeral on our website when they are determined by the family.

Due to a widespread power outage affecting our church building, there will be no Sunday evening service.

Since the forecast calls for -40 wind chill, all activities at Calvary have been canceled for this Wednesday evening.

Due to the extremely cold temperatures in the forecast tomorrow, the mid-week service & all related activities for Wednesday PM, 1/30 have been cancelled. (Please spread the word.) Stay warm!

Everything is "on time" at Calvary this morning. Our snow removal team will go into action at 8:00 a.m. to clear the sidewalks at our church building. Some roads are snow-covered, so plan a little extra time to drive in this morning.

A contractor cut an underground electrical cable near our new parking lot. So the power was off overnight, but we hope to have it restored soon. If you have sent emails or left voice mails, we will try to get back to you when the power is restored.
